This is my pallet knife project. Unfortunately the texture doesn't really show in this picture.

These are my book pages for the semester. I used quite a bit of purple, since it's my favorite color. Also I request that you ignore those two pictures in the middle, they were posted in here accidentally.

Weird Foldey-Thing Project

This is my foldey thingy. At first I was just going to do a happy dude and some other picture. Then I was told they had to be related. I started thinking of why the dude is happy, and decided he won the lottery. Money has a pretty obvious relationship with lotteries, so I made a dollar for my other picture.

Culture Post

These are my sister's maneki-neko. They are a kind of Japanese charms that are supposed to grant different things depending on the color. The white ones give happiness, while the gold ones give luck. I can't remember what many of the other colors mean, aside from green giving wealth and black giving safety.

This is my attempt at a landscape picture. I took this during a car ride. Hopefully it's not too blurry.

This is my unusual self portrait. I actually didn't take this with the intent to use it. I took it when me and Nathan were screwing around with a mask he brought. I ended up deciding to just use this instead of make ing another one.

This is my unusual texture. It's running wet paint. I took this while a project of mine was drying.

This is my eyeball photography project. I used Phil for this (With his permission, of course). Unfortunately my hands were a bit shaky, hence the slight blur.

This is my america project. it is a silhouetted uncle Sam from the old recruitment posters. I'm actually really surprised it turned out this well. Cutting it was frustrating though.

Fall Photo

This is my fall project photo. I used one of the cameras for my summer one and my phone for this, so hopefully I didn't screw it up.
This is my teapot project. I based it off of the Shoggoth monsters from the H.P. Lovecraft novel "At the Mountains of Madness"

These are some of the pictures I've taken for the photography projects. The first is my abstract image of nature. It's a close-up picture of tree bark. I chose this one mostly out of convenience. The next is my "Golden" picture. It's a close up of a fallen leaf by my apartment. The pet picture is next. It shows one of my sister's fish. She goes through quite a lot of them. Used to have a lot too, but now its just that one and about 4 others. Next is my fridge photo. I tried moving things to get it looking nice, but with all the bags it still looks a bit messy. And last is my green picture. This is my texture canvas pre-painting. I put in the vaguely leaf-like design for the express purpose of using the canvas for this. I'm sorry this is all late.

Texture Canvas

This is my textured canvas project, I  decided to go with something abstract since I couldn't really think of anything specific to paint.

Color Wheel Project

For this project I pained multiple colors of eyes. Many of them were based off of reptile and frog eyes.

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

The first picture is a moving picture of Keys. I made it monochrome using pencil. There was some issue scaling things but I think it turned out alright.

The second picture is of a comedy mask. I used violet and green since they are my favorite colors. Plus they seem to go well with a happy face.

The last one is supposed to be a model of the emblem of house Greyjoy from Game of Thrones. I had to cut bits off due to balance issues and other frustrations with cutting it out. That whole project was hair-tearingly frustrating and I'm glad its over.

Light Project

I made this light pattern with a camera and phone light. I made a few but prefer this one because it looks somewhat spherical and the other ones just looked like scribbles.

Summer

This summer I mostly worked at Sonics. I frequently worked until 2 am or later. I watched movies and TV shows. Never got to see anybody aside from the family, but that is the norm for summer vacations.
